Recently while working on improving the master scheduling process at a community college, I was introduced to Jing. Jing is a simple program which allows you to record up to 5 minutes of video right from your Mac (or PC) and post it online in a few easy steps.

After discussing the best way to share the results of our work across the college, Kate (the Chair of the English Department) suggested using Jing. After hearing how Kate uses it as an interactive way to give feedback on her students’ poetry, I agreed it would be a great vehicle for communicating to faculty, staff, and students who were not a part of our team, but had a vested interest in the outcome of our work.
